Backend Update

This twelfth of (one day) sixty-four fragments represents the recent backend-updates of this website, which you probably cannot see, because you have Flash enabled. Hence this representation.

Considering how bad Flash gets indexed by otherwise almighty Google, I've finally gotten myself to do some search engine optimization and completely overhauled the HTML-Fallback-Version. The latter is shown whenever this website is browsed without Flash-Plugin, which only search engine bots do. Or weird people.

The HTML pages are generated dynamically using a SQL Database and for the presentation I've chosen the iPhone's signature Design - so that I can surf my website from my iPhone and it looks just like an iPhone App. Probably useless, but why not.

Besides that, I managed to install proper URL rewriting: Usually the links of this website should be quite illegible, e.g. "index.php?fragment=11&skip=0" for the portfolio. And since that's neither nice nor easy to read, I've managed to dynamically mask the links to something like "portfolio.html" or "contact.html". Now that's super-cool, isn't it? And all that, while still generating everything dynamically from a database.

All those changes aren't that spectacular for most people, but for Flash-Sites it's probably quite rare. If anyone needs help or sources, feel free to contact me.
